[BECMI] Timothy Brannon working on an HPE-series conversion

Postby Tim Baker » Wed Apr 19, 2017 6:38 am

OSR designer Timothy Brannon is working on a conversion of the Nentir Vale HPE-series adventures into BECMI. If you're interested in the Nentir Vale but don't care for 4th Edition, this may be a fun opportunity to delve into the setting.

He started with a quick conversion of the Ghost Tower of the Whitchlight Fens solo adventure that's available for free.

That's really awesome.

I do hope he continues, like he said he might.

Too bad I know next to nothing about BECMI... but is good to see some Nentir Vale love. If he needs help, I'd like to help.

If you know AD&D (1st or 2md ed) you known about, what?, 80-90% of BECMI/Original D&D. They are quite close. More so them AD&D (or OD&D) is to 3rd.x, 4th or 5th Ed D&D by a wide margin (not to sat they are bad systems, just indicating the closeness/compatibility of those 2 older systems).
Roleplaying is not a Hobby...it's a Way of Life.
