This is amazing.Zeromaru X wrote:275 pages. And I left some stuff for another Gazetteer (or an appendix).
But here ya' go, welcome to the Nentir Vale.
I hope there aren't grammatical errors...
I've not had much time to do anything other than skim through this.
If you do any more revisions of this, you might want to look into "widows and orphans" controls. I see some headings that are split up from the paragraphs they belong with. You should be able to set the headings up so that there are a minimum number of lines below them (or get the headings to automatically move forward onto the next page).
You really should have your name on that PDF too. You deserve to have a credit there.
Have you looked around to see if there is a Nentir Vale fan artist who would let you use a picture for the front cover? There are a few people on The Piazza who have knocked up mock book covers and I think it would be great if your gazeteer had 4e style branding with your name right there.

I like your idea about a cover.

Re: A Nentir Vale Gazetteer
I wonder if Argentmantle would be able to help with this, like he did with the Hollow World: Kogolor Fan Guide.

Re: A Nentir Vale Gazetteer
Unfortunately it seems Argentmantle disappeared from the Piazza in early 2016. He was also the admin of the Stranger Skies Calidar website and forum, but he let it expire last July. All attempts by Bruce Heard to contact him have failed, as far as I know.
Anyway there are other people who could certainly be able to help, if needed.

There is always this automated tool from The Homebrewery if we can't find a human to help.

Wow, this is a behemoth of a resource. I will need to find the time to thoroughly read through this.
I am just getting back into reacquiring 4E materials, so I'm looking forward to tying together a bigger cohesive whole from this document and the products. Thanks for all your hard work, gentlepersons!

Awesome! Do you have any examples of your work that you'd be able to share? I'm curious to get a sense of how the product might turn out.Jensenator wrote:Hi I am a mediadesigner from germany and are willing to help you. My specialization is layouting and my weapon of choice is InDesign.

The one named Askalon is my old D&D 3e setting. The other two are Nenitr Vale, as you will clearly see.
The first nentir vale doc is me trying to emulate the 5e style and the other is the nentir vale in my "players-handout-style".
These are early versions without any polish. They are all fan works.
I could also easily emulate the D&D 4e style if desired.

Hi. Your work seems really good.
I really like the one who looks like a 5e book.

Re: A Nentir Vale Gazetteer
That Magroth cover... wow, good decision with there. I also love how you improved the gazetter, with pictures and such. Really good work. As a suggestion, I guess you should use Albanon (the eladrin used as example for the 5e subrace; you can get a high quality version here)

Re: A Nentir Vale Gazetteer
Good thinking on using the DMG Eladrin! I din't know 5e had (named) iconic characters?

Re: A Nentir Vale Gazetteer
5e don't have, AFAIK. Albanon is one of the iconics from the 4e Essentials books, and the main protagonist of the Abyssal Plague trilogy novels.

I am still working of the gazetteer, but unfortunately I have tons of other work to do and a family.
I hope to finish the races & classes chapter next week.

Re: A Nentir Vale Gazetteer
I've taken down the Gazetteer because I'm updating and re-doing it. Re-reading it, it is really a mess... my perfectionism can't stand it.
And also, is still incomplete (yes, is still incomplete!). So, expect an update soon.

I was hoping you show up
I was hoping that you will help me with the layout of the new version (right from the start). I provide the text, and you do your magic.
