FYI.. the wiki is only editable by people who are members of the Campaign Group. Of course, this fact only applies to those who are members of EN World.

I'm thinking I want to create a page specifically for the groups members to use as a suggestions page. Of course, you guys can add your suggestions here, instead.

So far, I've created 7 additional pages for the wiki -- one page each for all the continents, one page for Dark World (Kulan's evil twin), and one page for Campaign Suggestions.

I'm going to finish the introduction pages for the Major Island Groups next, and then I'll likely work more on the Lands of Harqual. I also want to work on Kulanspace and the Monsters section too.

Here is where I'm going to expand my list of locales and adventure sites into a full Adventure Index.

I just made a strange decision. I'm going to add Nentir Vale to Kulan. It will not be on Harqual (no room) and it will not be in the western lands of Kanpur. Instead, I've decided to add it to Janardûn. The name of the vale will remain the same, but the name of the communities will change to better reflect the uniqueness of the Psionic Lands. The first name change has already been made: Hammerfast will be called Kiire Haamer. I used the Bing Translator and decided to go with Estonian for the dwarven community.

Fallcrest and the other human-dominated communities of the vale will likely get translated into another language as well. However, the names might get renamed based on the unusual names I've already given to Janardûn's cities and provinces.

Split two posts related to Harqual out of this thread to form two new threads. See the projects list for these new threads.

Kell,

Here are the in-character and OOC threads in The Crystal Globe forum. You describe your character's actions in the first thread. Comments, questions, and actions related to what your PC is doing are posted in the OOC thread.

Once you have your PC completed, post it here: Kulan PbP Campaign Guide: Western Kanpur|Bluffside. You should also look to that thread for campaign challenges.

Borrowing this idea from Havard's thread: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=8651
Havard wrote:While we have all heard about Elminster, Drizzt, Mordenkeinen and Raistlin, there are many settings that I dont know the names of any characters from.

Who are the most famous NPCs from each setting?

Wow! I learn something new about how Campaign Cartographer works every day.

I was wondering what the distance was between Deepwater and Cauldron City, but I didn't think CC2 had a function that could tell me that. I was so wrong!

The "Info" menu option is going to become my new best friend.

Distances for the Lands of Harqual (Rough Estimates)
City to City
Cardamere [in the Far South] to Hoarfrost [in the Northlands] (straight path): 2,244 miles
Cauldron City to Mor's End (straight path): 41 miles
Cauldron City to Deepwater (straight path): 278 miles
Hellekan to Selquin (straight path): 473 miles
Mor's End to Pretensa (straight path): 70 miles
Mor's End to Sumdall (straight path): 231 miles
Mor's End to Sumdall (by boat along Lake Anoria and the Fire River): 244 miles
Sumdall to Tschaja (straight path): 472 miles

Forests (Length Along)
Great Forest of Harqual: 2,170 miles *
Heverkent Forest (Inner): 1,109 miles *
Heverkent Forest (Outer): 1,524 miles *
Merewood: 806 miles *
Verdalf Forest: 282 miles

Lakes and Rivers
Fire River (by boat from Lake Anoria to Sumdall): 218 miles
Lake Ana (length along shoreline): 83 miles
Lake Anoria (length along shoreline): 76 miles
Lake Gafid (length along shoreline): 37 miles
Lake Nest (length along shoreline): 371 miles
Lake Qualitian (length along shoreline): 832 miles
Lake Rallon (length along shoreline): 36 miles
Lake Thallin (length along shoreline): 147 miles
Milvius/Mor River (by boat from Lake Thallin to Mor's End): 326 miles
Wind River (by boat from Milo to Lake Thallin): 462 miles

Landmasses (Length Along Shoreline)
Lands of Harqual: 14,008 miles (†)
------
Farion Island: 600 miles
Hawkgard Island: 124 miles
Nesin Island: 172 miles
Teverroot Island: 1,078 miles
Thessalgard Island: 469 miles
Wyrmgard Island: 321 miles

Hills and Mountain Ranges (Length Along)
Greystone Mountains: 778 miles
Hills of Antius: 253 miles
Kul Moren Mountains (including Fortress Mountain and the surrounding hills): 249 miles
Patron Mountains: 480 miles
Rilous Mountains: 959 miles
Sunus Mountains: 318 miles
Thunder Mountains: 303 miles

Natural Features (Length Along)
Inner Edge of the Great Expanse (length along): 1,134 miles *
Miners' Den: 310 miles
Outer Edge of the Great Expanse (length along): 1,601 miles

*When I design my maps in CC2, I have to pass the desert and forest background colors under the various lakes (and the background colors of mountain ranges). Thus, the "length along" number given show the total miles the irregular polygon is on the map. The actual length where the lakes don't overlap the forest backgrounds doesn't seem to calculable (but I could be wrong). When it comes to the mountain ranges or any hill terrain, the forests extend into those ranges at least as far as the background color does.
† In a perfect world, it would take a character with a 30-foot speed roughly 583.7 days to walk the distance around Harqual's shoreline. A dwarf could do it in exactly 875.5 days!

The estimated distance that Bactra, Dabuk, Dvalin, and Mesik traveled from Griffondale (in Minar) to the phantaton camp (in the Merewood) on their journey south: 840 miles! Since the PCs didn't travel in a straight line, the number given here shows the length in miles along a straight path from Griffondale to the center of the Merewood.

My old Walk the Road wiki is now officially gone. I was given the option to export it to a file, which made it easy for me to make the choice. All the old Kulan content will end up on the new Kulan wiki on E.N. World -- at some point. :D

FYI, a new recruitment for a 2nd Kulan pbp over on EN World: http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread ... uitment%29

Also, I've decided that if I do a Time of Ages pbp, it will be here instead of on ENW.

I've gone through the various overview posts near the beginning of the thread and have relinked most of the old CC2 overview maps, which are now uploaded in my World of Kulan Community Group over on EN world.
