[Critical Role][Wildemount] Do you like the idea of a Chronurgist Subclass?

This time manipulation wizard subclass will appear in the Wildemount book. What do you think of the concept described in the video above by Matt Mercer?

I like the concept, but I've found that time-manipulating PCs are challenging, whether in a fantasy game or a super-hero game. The details will determine how well this works at the table. I hope it has sufficient playtesting. I wouldn't use Matt Mercer's Blood Hunter class in my games due to balance issues, for example.

A little OT, but he doesn't seem that familiar with the history of D&D products. AD&D 2E has the Chronomancer class supplement book, and 3E - though it is 3PP by Mongoose Publishing - has a Chronomany book. So why wouldn't he call the subclass a Chronomancer?

This is what I was thinking too, but my understanding is that this subclass is less about time travel which would be the domain of the Chronomancer and more about other kinds of time manipulation. But I definitely see the two concepts as related.
