Could you do a blog on affordable Legos for use as minis? There are so many that are bloody expensive and it would be nice to know which ones are a bit more affordable.

It can be hard to do that subject justice, since most sets tend to be in production for only a year or two at most before they're retired, and because there are so many LEGO themes and RPG genres to cover. When I started my LEGO articles*, I limited the first couple to the LOTR and Hobbit themes because they were new at the time, and a perfect fit for D&D style fantasy. My reviews since then have been similarly limited in scope, by deliberate choice (microfigures/Heroica*; new collectible Minifigures Series**). My "Finding Female Minifigures" column (September 2015) is probably the closest I've come to the kind of general guide you're asking for.

Is there a genre or theme that you're most interested in? That would make it easier for me to target in on what might help you most.
