I don't have time at the moment to work on it, however I can suggest a couple of options.
- Hex map: use either the free version of Hexographer, or GIMP with HexGIMP (a simple lookup on Google will locate these tools). Both are simple to use (for this purpose) even if you don't have any graphics skills, and will produce maps that are high quality enough (similar to those used in the BECMI D&D Gazetteers). Some other hex tools are listed here.
- Have a look at the tutorial linked in this post. It was useful to me to produce a reasonably good map.
