TinyD6

Post by dulsi » Tue Feb 20, 2018 10:30 pm

I got an email about Tiny Wasteland. I thought that was great a Tiny Epic game with a post apocalyptic setting. After I went to the kickstarter I discovered it wasn't Tiny Epic Wasteland but just Tiny Wasteland. The game system used is called TinyD6. They have Tiny Dungeons and Tiny Frontiers. I downloaded Tiny Frontiers from drivethrurpg since it is Pay what you want for the moment as they are working on a 2nd Edition. I haven't read the rules yet. I was reading the microsetting because they have an open call for superhero microsettings for TinySuper. Anyone played any of these games?

I got around to reading the rules. I really like Tiny Frontiers and plan to run a Star Wars game using it. I put up my review of the game. I also purchased the Mecha and Monsters book and Tiny Dungeons.

I don't think so. MiniSix is based on OpenD6. While TinyD6 uses D6, it uses them very differently. There are no skills like you find in OpenD6 and MiniSix. You don't add the dice together. It doesn't count successes like the Legend System variant of OpenD6. I don't know for certain they didn't start with OpenD6 but it seems like it was developed on it's own.
