I received permission from the ScrapFinder project on FaceBook to re-post their conversions here on The Piazza as I know some of you may be interested in these.

Todays post is an adaptation of a race that has had a few incarnations across a few different rpgs. It was requested twice in the most recent request thread, so I gave it a stab.

Rather than butcher their lore, Ive included a link for you to read more about them yourself!

MECHALUS
+2 Con, +2 Int, -2 Cha
Hit Points: 4

SIZE AND TYPE
Mechalus are medium humanoids with the mechalus subtype

BIO-DIGITAL INTERFACE
- Mechalus always treat Computers as a class skill.
Mechalus may also interface physically with computers. They can extend wire tendrils from their hands and connect themselves to an adjacent computer system as part of the same action they use to make an computers check. While connected in this way, all computer checks and tasks take half as long to complete. The Mechalus must remain adjacent to maintain the connection, but may disconnect at any time.

CYBER-BIONIC AUGMENTATION
-Mechalus have an affinity for cybernetic augmentation, and treat all of their own cybernetics as if they had crafted them themseves, even when they did not, repairing them in half the normal time, and treating the cybernetic augmentations as if the item were 2 levels higher for determining hardness, hit points, and saving throws.

CYBER-ORGANIC ANATOMY
- For effects targeting creatures by type, mechalus count as both humanoids and constructs (whichever effect is worse). They receive a +2 racial bonus to saving throws against disease, mind-affecting effects, poison, and sleep, unless those effects specifically target constructs.

REDUCTIVE PLATING
-Mechalus have reinforced skeletons and hard protective plating on their bodies. They begin play with the Mk 1 Dermal Plating cybernetic augmentation installed in the skin system. This cybernetic augmentation cannot be removed.

RACIAL FEATS

IMMACULATE CYBERWARE
Prerequisites: Mechalus
Benefits: Mechalus take care of their bodies, including cyberware. They perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep with incredible discipline. A mechalus with this feat may treat their cybernetic augmentations as if the item were instead 4 levels higher for determining hardness, hit points, and saving throws.

IMPROVED REDUCTIVE PLATING
Prerequisites: Mechalus, level 7
Benefits: You automatically gain the benefits of the Mk 2 Dermal Plating cybernetic augmentation when you reach 7th level, which replaces the previous benefits of Reductive Plating. At 9th level, you instead gain the benefits of Mk 3 Dermal Plating. Finally, at 12th level, you instead gain the benefits of Mk 4 Dermal Plating.

GREATER REDUCTIVE PLATING
Prerequisites: Improved Reductive Plating, level 14
Benefits: You automatically gain the benefits of the Mk 5 Dermal Plating cybernetic augmentation when you reach 14 level. At 16th level, you instead gain the benefits of Mk 6 Dermal Plating. Finally at 19th level you instead gain the benefits of Mk 7 Dermal Plating.

STABLE INTERFACE
Prerequisites: Mechalus, Computers 5 ranks
Benefits: Mechalus are cool under pressure, especially with computers. They may always take 10 on Computers checks.
