Anyone play this? Can it be used to enhance a traditional RPG? :)

I think it meshed very nicely with the d6-System RPG. There were enough rules to provide some tactics, but not so many to keep it from flowing smoothly.

Nice!

I actually bought this game at a convention over 20 years ago, but never played it.

Excellent game for the day, simple but not without some complexity, but not overly complex... from what I can recall. It has been a long time.

I do remember having a lot of fun with the game.

The modern X-Wing game from Fantasy Flight is also a lot of fun, but so expensive!

Does Star Warriors have some sort of cheaper way to do space combat (like sheets of fold up ships that you can photocopy)?

Star Warriors includes everything you need to play... there are no figures, each ship is a counter, not a figure, and the battle is on a hexagonal "space" board.

You can do a very big dogfight on a very small table, unlike X-Wing, which requires 3' x 3' just to do a simple dogfight.

Right now, the game is going for around $50 on eBay (though unless it is un-punched, you never know if you get all the parts), while that will get you the starter set for X-Wing with one X-Wing and two TIE fighters...

Have any fans designed additional counters to represent the ships that are not included?
