Porgs! (No Spoilers)

Do you like Porgs? Do you hate them?

More importantly, will they show up in your campaign?

What stats will you use for them? :D

They remind me a little of the Hojibs from the original Marvel Star Wars comics!

I liked the porgs. I thought they were a pleasant addition to the movie without going all ewok, or worse Jar Jar, and detracting from the movie.

I saw something that suggested that that they used the porgs to replace puffins on the island.

That makes sense.

Puffins are awesome. We have Puffins in Norway too :)

Having watched The Last Jedi my verdict on porgs in tabletop gaming is that you would need rules to tell players how many people can be fed by eating a porg.

The same creator (@WhiteMageSlave) also did a 5e adventure titled Attack of the Porgs.

That is pretty cool! It reminds me a bit of the Dragon articles related to Giant Space Hamsters.

Less than one. The puffins that porgs are based on range from 400 to 650 grams, and typically 1/3 of an animal's body weight can be consumed as food. A porg might be slightly heaver, particularly in the leg region, but I can't see them massing over a kilogram, which would mean a single porg would be (at most) 333 grams of meat. If they're similar to chicken, that's around 550 calories, roughly 80/20 protein/fat.
