Mandalorian Ep 4 Rules Discussion (Spoilers!)

I see some people are disappointed in this episode. I thought it was okay. It was cool to see Bryce Dallas Howard's debut as a director. I wonder if we will see her in front of the camera in a Star Wars property as well?

I know a lot of people have been excited for Gina Carano's character to appear. I don't follow MMA, but I know she was in Deadpool and a few other movies. Her acting talents don't seem that impressive, but I think she worked well in that role. I like the backstory of the character though and how she was a rebel soldier during the Rebellion Era and then turned to bounty hunting before ending up on this forest planet.

The race of raiders seem to be a new one?
Also, the cat-creature needs stats!

Otherwise there doesn't seem too much new material that would need statting out?

I missed the name of the planet. Something with an S?

I loved it. Strongest episode yet. But I already said that.

Also, Gina Carano was just amazing

Unless I'm mistaken, that was a Loth-cat (from Star Wars Rebels). I don't know if there have been any stats for those creatures, though.

On that note, I will say I find the Star Wars writers tendency to name creatures by taking a RW name (ex. wolf) and appending a planetary prefix to it (ex. Loth from Lothal) is pretty silly.

I guess in the context of extraterrestrial creatures it makes sense (ie, a Martian calling humans "Earthlings" or vice versa), but in the context which some of these things come from it makes no sense. (IE, natives of Lothal calling cats "Loth-cats." Are they "Loth-men" and "Loth-women"?)

I just saw someone mention that in a youtube video I watched last night too. That is awesome!

I wonder if anyone has statted out Loth-cats yet?

Hehe, that is a very good point :)

I suppose you have to look at it from an off-worlder's perspective. Interstellar travelers arrive on a new planet and discover that they have a species that looks similar to, but not exactly like, something from their own home world:

What do you call it? Loth cat. We do the same things on our planet with Guinea Pig, Sea Lion, Meercat, etc.

Stats for the loth-cat are available in the FFG book Nexus of Power. Others have posted them online.
