[BRP] [Cthulhu] Anyone Use Averoigne for CoC?

Clark Ashton-smith's Averoigne is of course a popular setting here on The Piazza due to its connection with Mystara in module X2 Castle Amber and the Dimension of Laterre, but has anyone used it as a setting for a Call of Cthulhu game?

I'd more likely use it for D&D than CoC -- probably since I read X2 before Lovecraft, and thus associate it more with D&D than with CoC.
Note that there is a Dark Ages version of CoC, although I don't know to what extent it employs Averoigne as part of the setting (Averoigne is definitely part of the CoC setting, as Gaspar du Nord appears as the author of one of the Mythos tomes).

The Averoigne sourcebook (split over 4 or 5 issues of World of Cthulhu) assumes use of Cthulhu Dark Ages.
I have used the Averoigne information for a 3e D&D campaign using the additional material in d20 Call of Cthulhu. It was a blast.

The original post has more info on the 3 issues of Worlds of Cthulhu magazine where this was covered.

Just ordered issues 2 and 3 via ebay. Issue 4 seems impossible to find at the moment. Does anyone have it?

I recently acquired all of them; I was quite lucky, I spent less than £5 each.

Here's a list of Averoigne Product List:

Call of Cthulhu Products
  • Worlds of Cthulhu #1
  • Worlds of Cthulhu #3
  • Worlds of Cthulhu #4
D&D/AD&D Products
  • X2 Castle Amber
  • Gaz 3 The Principalities of Glantri
  • Glantri: Kingdom of Magic
  • Mark of Amber
What other RPG material might be useful for a Call of Cthulhu campaign set in Clark Ashton Smith's Averoigne?

Can anyone help me with the scenario: The Horrible Lonely House in the Woods
from World of Cthulhu issue 4?
