I think that a list of the actual downloads would probably be more useful to readers of this sticky.

Re: Other Forgotten Realms Websites
The links for AD&D Unlimited and Realmspace: Genomicon are dead. If the later is the Genomicon site of Brian James, I don't think he's actively maintaining it since the Grand History became an official WotC product. He had to take down the free PDF.
His brother Matt James maintains his own site at: loremaster.org.
Brian may participate there as well, I haven't been following that site. Both participate regularly at Candlekeep and the WotC FR forums.
The latter of which isn't linked in this thread. Kind of vital, being the official WotC FR forums and all: http://community.wizards.com/go/forum/v ... ten_realms
Candlekeep really is THE fan site for the Forgotten Realms and is more extensive than it looks. It can be broken up into a plethora of interesting links. One could find these just clicking around, or going through the very helpful site map, but some of the highlights of the site include:
Candlekeep Forums: http://forum.candlekeep.com/
Within the forums are the Chamber of Sages (http://forum.candlekeep.com/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=30) where many of the designers and authors interact with the fans.
The main site hosts the ever useful FR FAQ: http://www.candlekeep.com/fr_faq.htm
At the bottom are links to the Realms-L list and lists for other settings as well.
The Candlekeep Compendiums, collaborative netbooks by fans working through Candlekeep: http://www.candlekeep.com/compendium/index.htm
Realmslore, including some official lore from WotC. Further down are the compiled forum responses from the various Realms designers and authors. The more extensive interactions are broken down by year, such as those for Ed Greenwood. http://www.candlekeep.com/library/lore.htm#lore

I just found that the download link for the compilation of Elminter Speaks articles on the archived WotC D&D site is working (for now). Grab a copy before it's too late.
