Idiots Guide to Becoming An Immortal?

Weird red metals, dominions, immortals, hollow planets, invisible moons, and a lot of glorified magic zeppelins. It's all here.

Idiots Guide to Becoming An Immortal?

Post by Angel Tarragon » Wed Oct 25, 2017 10:21 am

I'm not sure how much different the process is between BECMI Immortals and Dark Dungeons Immortals, but regardless I still have difficulty wrapping my mind around both. Can someone dumb it down for me?

It can't be that difficult, if Bagni Gullymaw did it :-P

Sorry, insider joke :-)

Essentially, you must be very high level (30+), and discover that Immortals are actually ascended mortals. Then you choose a patron, and petition him by reaching a difficult location and bringing a valuable present.
Then, you are given a series of quests, which is different depending on the Sphere of Power you're trying to join.

(For non insiders, Bagni is the patron of trolls who become an Immortal by, among other things, eating an elephant. Yes Mystara has often a light/funny tone.)

Or sniff out the secrets of the Brotherhood of the Radiance, learn the right spells, and roll the dice, so to speak. Hey, either become an Immortal or have your soul sucked into a techno-magical nuclear reactor for fuel.

The same can be said of being a Shadow Elf Shaman under Rafiel.
