Any RPGA products on Hold of Sea Princes or Hool Marshes?

Post by GMWestermeyer » Fri Jun 08, 2018 2:58 pm

Anyone know if RPGA did any products for the Hold of the Sea Princes? was that a region for Living Greyhawk?

Or any official products at all? I have I7 Baltron's Beacon, and I have U1-3. I'm just looking for more details for my campaigns in that area.

Anything beyond The Scarlet Brotherhood?

WGR2 Treasures of Greyhawk has some adventures set in the Hold of the Sea Princes.

UK 1-3 were also set in the Hold of the Sea Princes.

On a related note:
The RPGA magazine for the Living Greyhawk campaign, the Living Greyhawk Journal, has a full-page article about the "Hool Beacon" in issue #19. Fireseek 593CY, February 2003, p90 (inside Dragon Magazine #306).
That may be a minor added resource for you. :)

Decanonized, but WG9 is in the Tors.

Rip mentioned this in the other thread, but the 3e DMGII has a full chapter with a controversial expansion/update on Saltmarsh.

Also see Pacesetter Games sequel to the U series, U1 Dark Eye of the Hurricane. Another installment, U2 The Savage Sea Ghost of Saltmire, has been announced.

Sasserine is just across the bay and was part of the Sea Princes until 584CY. The full city supplement/Save Tide Player's Guide is still available from Paizo.

The Shackled City's Cauldron is just a few miles away.

Dungeon #215's The Last Slave Lord is also across the Bay.

The Vault of the Drow is closer to the Sea Princes than any other land.

Dungeon #77's To Walk Beneath the Waves is 40 leagues NE of Saltmarsh in Keoland.

UK6 All That Glitters is GH canon and needs a home in the Hellfurnaces.

Hiya!

N1: Cult of the Reptile God (AD&D 1e) was set in the Hool Marshes. Great little "setting/adventure"...if you remove the much higher level MU that "accompanies the PC's" (just give the PC's a potion, scroll, or magic item that covers the 'spells' the module thinks the PCs will need).

No, N1 is officially set up north in the Rushmoors. But yeah, great module and setting.

Yup, you're correct. I placed it in the Hool Marshes last time I ran it as the PC's were coming from the south-east area. My bad.

So plenty of stuff in Keoland that covers the area my game is set in. But impossible to get. That sucks.

Tomb of the Lizard King was officially added to the Hool Marshes (I prefer the Vast Swamp/Sunndi).

The d20 Dreadmire hardbound offers a barely disguised and not very good gazetteer of the region.
