That had a great forum. I think I was
Thakowsaizmu over there. I was sad when it shut down
Thanks! Yes it was a very dynamic community but we lost many members during the switch from Modernd20unlimited to d20moderndatabase.
Maybe some more of the people from there will find their way to the d20 Modern forum here, one day.
It's a shame we couldn't locate any of the forum content, to pull over here, but there is some non-forum content if you two think that might be useful to have.

Also, I was very busy with work after the move and couldn't participate as much as I wanted. In the end I think 2 mega posters were doing all the activity. Meanwhile the RPG world changed. Savage Worlds, Fate were coming out. Players wanted leaner and streamlined generic systems.
Perhaps, but I"m not so sure.
Back during the early days of 3rd Edition D&D, I went online for the first time. I saw some badwrongfun folks who told me that "nobody liked Spelljammer" and there was also that "too many settings killed TSR" mantra going around and I kind of believed that was true. I later went on a hunt for Spelljammer fans (on Facebook and then other places) and gradually found enough fans to realise that assumption was wrong. Furthermore, I found that some people I bumped into believed that "nobody else liked Spelljammer" until I pointed them at the SJ forum here and the Spelljammer Mailing List. (They didn't all join, by the way. I just set out to let people know that they could talk to other fans.)
Anyhoo, I bet the same is true about d20 Modern to one degree or another. There
have to be people who have kept the books. There have to be people who still play. There have to be people who just have not searched for this place or other places. (There have to be
some fans who didn't even realise your older community existed and who missed out on the first chance to meet you both.) There have to be other people who were too busy to get involved in the community, back when d20 Modern was in print.
