Les Ruines De Krall

Post by Tamara »

Hi
I just stumbled upon this French Thunder Rift scenario
Les Ruines de Krall - DnD
I downloaded it and it is a great little adventure.
Unfortunately the owner has only permitted download and printing
but no moving of text and pictures/map to Word so if you do not read French ...
I printed the entire scenario (10 pages), then scanned it to word and finally
I'm going to use google translate which over the last years has become an acceptable translater.
Being bitten by the bug I then tried google.fr Thunder Rift but unfortunately no dice

I cannot make a workable link but if you search the below with google
Les Ruines de Krall - DnD
it should work

Nice find Tamara!

I did a search and found this, and lots of other French fan AD&D products on a page called Scénarios AD&D.

Here is the description from the English translation of that page:
dnd.rushland.eu via Google Translate wrote:The ruins of Krall - World of Lerya - Level 4-5
Ancient secrets of the magic of the ancients are still found in the ruins of this very ancient castle lost in the marshes.
It looks like the adventure is by someone called: Katherine Wasson.

Could it be the French version of Knight of Newts?

Hi Havard
Doing a quick comparison they are different both with room descriptions, maps and with opponents who in the French version are serpents, spiders, goblins, trolls, and zombies plus a pixie.
Also the background story in Knights is much better as are the notes to each room.
Still they can probably be made into one story dependent on the level of the players.

By the way the beautiful rift map with the added Vale cities and scenarios you made several years ago did you add to a base map with texts
or should you somewhere have a clean map without anything but the rift itself?
A freindly soul send me 2 links but unfortunately I already have those maps

Unfortunately the map link does not work but the map in the French version fit the descriptions except there is a room # 29 without any tekst

Interesting. Looks like a fan adventure, but it is always great seeing others expand upon the Vale.

Nice! Do you think the map from Knights of Newts could be used with the replaced text?
